Role Overview The Powder Coating Supervisor will be responsible for supervising powder coating line operations, ensuring product quality, maintaining process parameters, managing manpower, and supporting daily production targets. The role includes defect analysis, cost control, process improvement, and safety compliance. Key Responsibilities Supervise daily powder coating operations and shift manpower. Monitor and maintain pre-treatment process parameters (degreasing, phosphating, rinsing, drying, etc.). Control spray booth process, gun settings, powder application, and curing oven temperature. Manage color change & ensure minimum downtime. Ensure production planning and timely completion of orders. Check quality standards such as DFT (micron thickness), adhesion, gloss & surface finish. Coordinate with QA to resolve coating defects such as orange peel, pinholes, powder fall, shade variation, etc. Coordinate with maintenance team for breakdown and preventive maintenance. Manage inventory of powder material & consumables, ensuring optimum utilization. Maintain daily records, process reports, and production documentation. Ensure safety compliance, PPE usage & adherence to 5S standards. Train operators on coating systems and quality standards. Support ISO / IATF / customer audit requirements. Required Skills & Competencies Practical experience in powder coating booth operation and gun parameter setting. Knowledge of pre-treatment processes and chemicals. Ability to measure coating thickness using DFT gauge. Basic troubleshooting of coating defects. Manpower handling & shift management skills. Good communication & documentation capability. Knowledge of EHS, safety practices & good housekeeping standards. Qualification ITI / Diploma / Graduate in Mechanical / Production / Surface Coating or similar field. Training or certification in powder coating preferred. Additional Requirements Willing to work in shifts. Experience with conveyor type powder coating line preferred.
Key Responsibilities Supervise daily operations of Nickel & Chrome electroplating lines. Check and maintain plating bath parameters (Temperature, pH, Current density, Filtration, etc.). Execution of daily production plans and ensure timely delivery output. Conduct routine chemical testing & maintain log records. Ensure plating quality standards such as thickness, brightness, adhesion, corrosion resistance etc. Support resolution of plating defects like pitting, blister, peeling, rusting etc. Manage chemical and raw material inventory required for plating operations (chemicals, brighteners, consumables). Manpower management and shift supervision. Ensure PPE usage & safe chemical handling compliance. Coordinate with maintenance for preventive and breakdown maintenance activities. Maintain documentation for plating operations, records & statutory compliance. Support housekeeping, 5S, EHS and ISO / IATF / customer audits. Required Skills & Competencies Basic knowledge of electroplating process for Nickel & Chrome. Knowledge of plating chemicals, additives and testing methods. Familiarity with ETP/STP/ZLD operations preferred. Ability to analyze plating issues and corrective actions. Ability to supervise manpower & shift operations. Knowledge of plating thickness tools (XRF / Micrometer). Good communication & reporting skills. Qualification ITI / Diploma / B.Sc / B.Tech in Chemical / Metallurgy / Mechanical / Surface Coating. Certification in electroplating preferred. Additional Requirements Willingness to work in shifts. Experience in automotive plating preferred.
