As a Lead Engineer / Principal Engineer in Bangalore for our client, a publicly listed B2B company, you will play a crucial role in digitizing and empowering India's next wave of infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the Tech Leadership, drive architectural decisions, and contribute to shaping the organizational tech strategy during a period of exponential growth. Your responsibilities will include owning large segments of the platform, modernizing the existing stack, and designing next-gen systems for operational transparency, reliability, and scalability. This role offers autonomy in decision-making and the chance to influence national-scale logistics outcomes with visibility at the CxO level. You will have the opportunity to build and lead a high-caliber team, mentor talented engineers, and remain hands-on to drive business goals, robust SDLC, and cutting-edge Proof of Concepts. The ideal candidate will have 8-12 years of experience in software/product engineering, with a track record of leading teams through complex product/infra builds and a strong academic background from a top-tier institution. Technical expertise in designing distributed, fault-tolerant cloud systems (preferably AWS), delivering enterprise-grade backends (Node.js or Python), and familiarity with frontend (React, Angular) and mobile app architectures is essential. Experience with BI/analytics tools, advanced devops, SOA, CI/CD, and exposure to AI/ML or computer vision technologies will be beneficial. As a hands-on leader, you will be responsible for writing production code, creating architecture documentation, mentoring engineers, and upholding high standards in SDLC and team culture. Effective collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Executive teams is key, requiring strong communication skills.
