The Network Support and SRE team seeks an experienced Wireless Network SRE to realize the SRE vision for our network infrastructure. This role requires expertise in network operations, engineering, and observability. A proficient Network SRE strives to enhance network operations by reducing manual work and achieving Service Level Objectives (SLOs). Our strategy involves minimizing reactive tasks, conducting blameless postmortems, and proactively identifying and mitigating network risks for continuous improvement. This ensures client satisfaction and a dynamic work environment. We empower autonomy in handling significant projects and provide mentorship for professional growth. As a Wireless Network SRE, your responsibilities include: - Managing wireless infrastructure operations to ensure high availability and reliability. - Collaborating with architecture, tooling, and deployment teams to ensure new implementations align with production standards. - Advocating for automation to improve operational efficiency. - Monitoring network performance, identifying areas for enhancement, and working with relevant teams on improvements. - Educating the network support team to assist in supporting the global Nvidia wireless footprint. - Collaborating with subject matter experts on swift production issue resolution for customer satisfaction. - Identifying operational enhancement opportunities and partnering with teams to drive excellence and sustainability in network operations. Requirements: - Educational Background: BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Professional Experience: Minimum 8 years in wireless site reliability engineering or related areas with a solid understanding of wireless network components. - Wireless Protocols and Standards: Expertise in technologies like 802.11ac, 802.11ax, WPA, Radius, EAP, 802.1X. - Wireless Access Points and Controllers: Strong familiarity with WLAN controllers, especially Mist. - RF Design and Troubleshooting: Understanding RF fundamentals, site surveys, spectrum analysis, interference mitigation, and optimization for events. - Network Skills: Proficiency in TCP/UDP, IPv4/IPv6, BGP, VPN, L2 switching. - Programming and Scripting Skills: Experience in Python, Perl, Bash. - Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Alert Manager, Nautobot/Netbox, Netdisco. - System Administration: Knowledge of Linux system fundamentals is advantageous. - Problem-Solving and Communication: Systematic problem-solving approach, excellent communication skills, and a sense of ownership. Ways To Stand Out: - Support Automation: Using operational signals for problem-solving, expertise in synthetics like UXI, Signal7, Wyebot. - Code Optimization: Debugging and optimizing code, automating tasks. - Platform Exposure: Experience with Mellanox/Cumulus Linux, Mist Wireless, Cisco Wireless. - Security Awareness: Knowledge of WLAN security components like ISE. - Previous SRE experience. Salary: 45 - 50 INR per year (Hybrid role based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, IN or Pune, Maharashtra, IN),
