In this role as a Platform Engineering Engineer 2, you will work with various technologies to support and automate the distributed production environment, enhancing the reliability and efficiency of systems. **Key Responsibilities:** - Support and maintain Linux/Unix and Windows environments. - Apply networking concepts to ensure system connectivity and performance. - Develop and maintain scripts and batch processes for automation. - Contribute to cloud infrastructure and automation using tools like Python, Ansible, and Terraform. - Create clear and thorough documentation for processes and systems. **Qualifications Required:** - Experience in a similar role, supporting Linux/Unix and Windows environments. - Proficiency in networking concepts and scripting languages. - Familiarity with cloud fundamentals and automation tools like Python, Ansible, and Terraform. - Problem-solving skills to understand user requirements and improve job flows and schedules. - Effective communication and interpersonal skills contributing to timely project deliverables. In addition, the ideal candidate may have experience with C++ or system administration, willingness to participate in on-call rotations, familiarity with APIs, file transfers, plugins, or high availability systems, and knowledge of Microsoft Azure or ServiceNow ITSM tools.
