Platform Engineer

The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer to join our engineering team. As a Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable, reliable, and high-performance platform infrastructure. Your role will focus on automating infrastructure, ensuring platform stability, optimizing performance, and supporting a cloud-native environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Platform Maintenance and Updates:
  • Maintain and update client AI platform configurations, services, and components to ensure smooth operations.
  • Optimize platform performance and efficiency through code and infrastructure improvements, including integrations with third-party applications.
• Automation and Deployment:
  • Implement and manage automated deployment pipelines to streamline application releases.
  • Ensure platform security and compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
  • Monitor platform systems and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Continuously enhance platform features and capabilities through innovation and adoption of modern technologies.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to support platform-related requirements and initiatives.
• Communicate platform updates and performance metrics to stakeholders.

Skills Required:

• 6+ years of experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or in a similar role.
• Strong background in Linux/Unix systems administration and troubleshooting.
• Passion for using data-driven approaches to solve complex business problems and drive innovation.
• Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices
• Experience managing cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools e.g. Terraform or Ansible

Good To Have Skill Set

• Experience in the HVAC, building automation, or related industries.
• Familiarity with IoT, edge computing, and cloud-based AI solutions.
• Knowledge of serverless architecture.
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in AI and data privacy.
• Project management skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
• Understanding of user experience (UX) design principles.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
