Platform and Network Engineer

As a Platform Engineer at Team Geek Solutions, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable platform solutions to support our customers" success. Your primary responsibilities will include implementing automated workflows, collaborating with cross-functional teams, monitoring platform performance, and ensuring high availability by troubleshooting issues. You will also be responsible for developing CI/CD pipelines, integrating cloud services, and implementing security best practices. In addition, you will engage in system audits, capacity planning, and the maintenance of documentation for system architecture and processes. You will support the migration of legacy systems to modern platforms, conduct performance tuning and optimization, and stay updated with industry trends through continuous learning. Your role will also involve training team members on new technologies and tools and reporting project status and issues to stakeholders. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and have experience in platform engineering or similar roles. Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is required, along with experience in DevOps tools like Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes. Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages are essential, as well as in-depth knowledge of networking and security protocols. Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation, the ability to work in an Agile environment, and excellent problem-solving and analytical skills are necessary. You should also possess strong communication and collaboration abilities, familiarity with logging and monitoring tools like ELK stack or Prometheus, and prior experience with microservices architecture. The role requires the ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and participate in on-call rotations as needed. Certification in cloud technologies, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, is considered a plus.
