Plastic Surgery - Associate Consultant

As an Associate Consultant in the Plastic Surgery department located in Mumbai, you must maintain a professional approach towards all patients, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities include providing medical cover, both routine and emergency, collaborating with other specialties within the institute. It is essential to strictly adhere to clinical safety, hygiene, and infection control protocols, such as wearing gloves, aprons, and practicing proper hand hygiene. You should be readily available to see patients upon request and assist consultants in the operation theatre, performing surgeries under their supervision. Being skilled and knowledgeable is crucial in identifying complex surgical issues and taking appropriate emergency actions with the treating consultant's permission. Supervising the daily clinical management of patients alongside RMOs under consultant guidance is also part of your role. Ensuring complete patient documentation, obtaining consents for surgeries and procedures, and maintaining effective communication with patients, families, colleagues, and other healthcare personnel are vital aspects of your responsibilities. When writing treatment sheets, diagnosis should be in capital letters, dated, named, and signed by the respective doctor, referencing progress notes when necessary. Accompanying consultants for rounds, conducting independent rounds, and following up with patients for continued care are expected. Compliance with the on-call and duty roster as per department requirements is necessary. This position is full-time and permanent, suitable for fresher candidates with up to 5 years of experience.
