Placement Officer - AI/ML Learning Lab

This role supports our CSR funded AI/ML Learning Lab, the Placement Officer will play a crucial role in connecting students to real employment opportunities and ensuring long-term career tracking.

Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and network-driven Placement Officer to manage employer coordination, conduct placement drives, and track student career outcomes for 18-24 months. The ideal candidate will build strong industry partnerships, prepare students for interviews, and ensure successful job placements across tech and data domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with companies, employers, HR teams, and recruitment partners.
• Organize placement drives, job fairs, employer meets, and campus interviews.
• Identify job opportunities aligned with AI, ML, Data Analytics, IT, and related fields.
• Prepare and groom students for interviews, resumes, communication skills, and assessments.
• Track student placements for 18-24 months as per CSR/NSDC requirements.
• Maintain placement data, documentation, and progress reports.
• Coordinate with trainers and Centre In-Charge to evaluate job readiness of students.
• Maintain a database of employers and continuously expand recruitment networks.
• Provide career counseling and guidance to support students’ employment goals.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of placement-related reports and MIS.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate or Postgraduate in HR, Management, or related fields.
• 1–3 years of experience in placements, recruitment, HR, or industry partnerships (NGO/CSR sector preferred).
• Strong network with companies, especially in tech, IT, data, and service sectors.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and mentor students for job readiness.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Understanding of job roles in AI/ML, Data Analytics, IT services, and digital roles(Preferred).
• Ability to conduct workshops on resume writing, interview prep, and soft skills(Preferred).

Job Types: Full-time, Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 5 months

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
