The role of Nutanix Database Service involves expertise in Nutanix Database services or working on green field SQL services exposure. As a Nutanix Database Service specialist, you are expected to possess technical proficiency, hands-on experience, and problem-solving skills specifically related to Nutanix NDB. Your responsibilities will include deploying and configuring Nutanix NDB for database provisioning, cloning, and lifecycle management. You should be adept at automating database deployments for various platforms such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SAP HANA. Experience with Time Machine for database snapshots and recovery will be valuable. Furthermore, you must have knowledge of one-click cloning, refresh, and masking of databases. Configuring and managing backup policies, Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR), and log-based recovery are essential skills for this role. Familiarity with NDB patching workflows for database engines like Oracle PSUs and SQL Server CUs is required. Additionally, a strong database administration (DBA) background in at least one major database such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL is preferred. If you have 3-6 years of relevant experience and hold a degree in any Graduation, you are eligible for this position. This is a Contract to Hire opportunity with a hybrid work mode and is open for candidates across PAN India. The ideal candidate should be able to join on an immediate to 10 days" notice period.
