Piping Engineer

Role & responsibilities Technical Competency: Preparation of Pipeline Basis of Design document Pipeline Route selection studies Pipeline Coating Selection studies. Pipeline Wall thickness design Latest code Pipeline stress Analysis Pipeline Cathodic protection studies Pipeline crossing analysis using CAESAR II software Pipeline crossing design. Preparation of Pipeline Material and Construction specifications. Construction and Procurement support. Shall have experience in preparation of Material requisition, Technical bid evaluation and Purchase requisitions. Pipeline Material, Construction associated Cost estimation. Design and Review of Pipeline drawings Pipeline Route drawings Pipeline Overall layout Pipeline Platform approach drawings Pipeline Alignment sheets Pipeline crossing drawings Anode detail drawings etc Technical discussions with the client, project manager and other discipline leads to resolve the project issues. Preparation of other technical reports as required by the project. Prepare data sheets for barred tee, Hot bend, pipeline valves etc Project Execution: Knows the discipline scope/cost/time requirements, assists the team to meet expectations, and coordinates with other disciplines to ensure project success. Supports management of project change and progressing for the discipline and works with the Project Management Team to take corrective actions regarding any issues, staffing requirements, scope changes, progressing, or other events that could affect project completion and/or profitability. Plans discipline quality, monitors quality activities, squad checking, drives and participates in squad checking, recommends improvements, and takes action where required. Provide technical support within the discipline team, liaise with the project team, and consult with relevant resources as required. Coordinate review and approval of design and interfaces on client requirements and specifications. Project Deliverables: Determines technical issues, defines alternate solutions, establishes pros/cons for multiple solutions, and makes recommendations through official project documents such as technical queries, technical deviations, etc. Creates final documentation incorporating all relevant information and pursues customer approval. Perform discipline specific engineering services such as: Identify and report changes to project scope; Contribute to appropriate studies, analyses and recommend actions; Assist with the preparation of detailed designs and drawings, specifications, data, calculations and reports; Provide assistance during procurement, construction and commissioning activities. Gathers data from multiple sources and prepares engineering studies, analyses, calculations, etc. Preferred candidate profile Bachelors in Mechanical engineering, minimum 10 years experience, out of which 5 years should be with O&G engineering Consultants Responsible for pipeline deliverables Should be readily available to travel to other Avenir offices for duration of 5 days to 6 months Have a good attitude
