1. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Carry out RBI (re)assessment of static assets (Equipment/ Pipework) due for inspection in upcoming months Creation of Written Scheme of Examination (WSE) for Inspection, based on the outcome of RBI Assessment Corrosion Loop Boundary mark-up; CML mark-up on isometrics to sufficiently represent the corrosion Loop Carry out Equipment Condition History (ECH) review; Establish corrosion trend; Identify limiting component Populate RBI input template with all the needful data; upload the RBI input template in wIMS for RBI Study Create Equipment Strategy for RBI as well as for non-RBI type assets, as per the site approved procedure(s) Create ENG - 96 Document to extend the inspection interval (or Next Inspection Date), based on RBI studies Update RBI studies to incorporate the latest inspection findings; modify the RBI data and WSE accordingly Create of Corrosion Control document (CCD); review existing CCDs; Recommend improvement, if required -Carry out reliability study of Static equipment/assets to reduce the failure occurrence; conduct RCA studies Recommend material upgrade, dosing need etc, to improve the service life of assets in corrosive conditions Provide Inspection support to site Inspection and Integrity (I & I) team during planned or ad-hoc shutdowns Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineer graduate from premium engineering institute (IIT, BITS, NIT etc.) Professional experience of 5-10 years in Refinery, Petrochemical, Fertilizer and/or Oil-&-Gas sectors Knowledge and expertise in Corrosion, in-service Inspections, RBI, & Integrity management domains Well Familiar with common materials used in refinery, and their welding and PWHT requirements Thorough Knowledge of common API Codes and standards (API-510, API-570, API-580, API-571 etc.) Well-versed with reading and interpretation of Equipment Inspection reports, PFDs, P&IDs, GAD etc. Familiar with basic NDTs - DPT/UT/RT/MPT and advanced NDTs like PAUT, TOFD, IRIS, PEC, MFL etc. Good understanding of all the basic corrosion/damage mechanisms applicable to refinery industries Experience of working on Corrosion loop formation, Damage Mechanism assignment, CML mark-up Hands on experience of carrying out RBI assessment using wIMS/Meridium/ or other RBI software Excellent written and oral communication skill (Full professional level or better) in English language Should be comfortable travelling overseas (Stanlow, Chester, UK) once or multiple times every year Certifications (Good to have) API 510, API-570, API-580, API-571 Certification NACE Corrosion Technologist NDT Level-II certified in DPT/MPT/RT/UT CSWIP (preferred) Qualification B.Tech./M. Tech. in Metallurgical or Mechanical Engineering from a premier Institute (IIT, BITS, NIT etc.)
