POSITION SUMMARY This position will involve developing a web application with numerous third-party integrations and services as well as the refactoring and reduction of technical debt. Applicants should demonstrate an ability to build scalable, responsive, and modular software that can meet clients needs for high reliability and security. Key Responsibilities Design and develop scalable and modular web application backend capabilities (PostgreSQL, Express.js, and Node.js). Integrate various third-party services and REST APIs into the web application, ensuring high reliability and security. Leverage Google Cloud services like the Healthcare API to handle vast amounts of protected health information and ensure that deployed code is running reliably. Optimize application performance and responsiveness with software engineering best practices. Implement audit logging and observability to monitor application health in production environments. Create processes and use algorithms that can parse and store vast quantities of health information into JSON and XML formats. Ensure compliance with healthcare data standards such as FHIR, CCD, and HL7. Implement and maintain devops processes through Git, including continuous integration and deployment. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to code styling guides and best practices. Refactor and reduce technical debt in existing codebase to improve performance and maintainability. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in backend software using Express, NodeJS, and Postgres SQL. Other variants of SQL like MySQL are acceptable. 3-5 years of experience working with and implementing 3rd-party REST API integrations and services, writing server application code, and working with databases. Experience adhering to code styling guides and documentation standards. Deep understanding of Typescript/Javascript. Experience using Git and CI/CD for managing a codebase and product lifecycle. Fluency in written and spoken English. Other Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with healthcare data and standards such as FHIR, CCD, and HL7. Understanding of business models for and experience developing healthcare and financial services platforms/companies. Prior experience implementing tools/frameworks for monitoring and observability in software such as OpenTelemetry. Experience with large codebases and reverse engineering functionalities. Understanding of and experience implementing best practices to reduce cybersecurity threats. Deep understanding of Docker. Note: Your application will not be considered without questionnaire response.
