As a Piping Drafter, you will be responsible for preparing and developing detailed 2D piping layouts, isometric drawings, and equipment layouts based on P&IDs and design data. Your role will involve interpreting P&IDs, engineering sketches, and client specifications to create technical drawings. You will be drafting piping general arrangement (GA) drawings that showcase equipment, piping routes, nozzles, and supports. Additionally, you will prepare accurate isometric drawings with bill of materials (BOM) for fabrication and site installation, ensuring compliance with Oil & Gas industry standards, company guidelines, and relevant codes such as ASME, ANSI, and IS. To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 2+ years of experience in piping drafting and design. Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D is a must-have requirement. You are expected to possess a strong knowledge of piping systems, fittings, valves, equipment layout, pipe supports, and related components. Your ability to read and interpret P&IDs, piping GAs, and isometric drawings will be crucial. Good coordination, communication, and documentation skills are essential for this position. A Diploma, ITI, or Degree in Mechanical or Piping Drafting, or a related engineering discipline is preferred. This is a full-time position based in Bangalore (On-site) or Hyderabad, with a duration of 1 year that may be extendable based on project requirements and performance.
