Role Description A Field Sales Executive at Pidilite Industries plays a crucial role in driving sales, building customer relationships, and ensuring strong brand visibility for flagship products like Fevicol (wood & multi-purpose adhesive) and Fevistick (paper glue stick). The role demands field activity, customer engagement, and execution excellence at the retail and distributor level. Key Responsibilities1. Achieving Sales Targets Drive sales for Fevicol , Fevistick , and other Pidilite adhesives in the assigned territory. Work with distributors and retailers to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals. Enhance product penetration in hardware, stationery, and general stores. 2. Market Coverage & Field Visits Visit retailers, wholesalers, carpenters, contractors, and stationery shops regularly. Ensure proper product availability and stock levels across all outlets. Conduct beat planning and route coverage to maximize area reach. 3. Product Promotion & Merchandising Demonstrate Fevicol and Fevistick usage to carpenters, contractors, teachers, shop owners, and end consumers. Ensure attractive display, visibility, and placement in stores (posters, standees, shelf branding). Conduct sampling activities and craft demonstrations for Fevistick in schools or stationery shops. 4. Building Customer Relationships Develop strong rapport with dealers, retailers, carpenters, and influencers. Address queries, provide product knowledge, and resolve issues. Encourage Loyal Carpentry / Influencer programs (Pidilite often runs carpenter loyalty schemes). 5. Distributor Management Ensure adequate inventory at distributor points. Monitor stock rotation, order booking, billing, and timely deliveries. Coordinate for schemes, incentives, and promotional activities. 6. Market Intelligence Gather insights on competitor products (e.g., local adhesives or glue sticks). Track pricing, new launches, offers, and customer preferences. Provide regular market feedback to the sales manager. 7. Training & Product Knowledge Give training to carpenters, shopkeepers, and school staff about: Fevicol: wood bonding, furniture repair, craft applications Fevistick: paper sticking, school projects, office needs Ensure customers are updated on new Pidilite products and usage techniques. 8. Sales Reporting Prepare daily visit reports, performance summaries, and sales tracking sheets. Update CRM or internal reporting apps as required by Pidilite. Report competitor activity and market issues promptly.
