As an Onsite Equipment Service Engineer, you will be an integral part of the team responsible for the installation, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various automation and electrical equipment at customer sites in India. Your primary responsibilities will include operating, servicing, calibrating, and repairing a range of electrical and automation equipment, such as robots, laser welding and marking machines, pick-and-place systems, and other automated components. You will also be expected to perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and fault resolution to ensure optimal equipment performance. In addition to hands-on technical tasks, you will provide on-site technical support, offer solutions to address customer requirements, and conduct training sessions for customers on equipment usage, operation, and maintenance procedures. It will be essential to maintain detailed and accurate records of service activities, collaborate with internal teams for project execution, and ensure efficient service delivery. You should be prepared to travel regularly within India for customer site assignments and be open to occasional international travel to China for training or project work. To excel in this role, you must be able to read circuit diagrams, troubleshoot electrical faults independently, and replace electrical components as needed. Knowledge of common automation components like relays, power supplies, and PLCs is crucial, along with familiarity with laser equipment, vision software, HMI-PLC interfaces, and pneumatics. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field, and have a minimum of 4 years of experience in operating, servicing, calibrating, and repairing automation equipment. Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems, strong communication skills, and fluency in Hindi are required to effectively interact with customers and team members in the region.
