Shanthi Bhavan Palliative Hospital, established by the Franciscan Sisters of St. Clare Charitable Trust, provides free-of-charge, comprehensive care for bedridden patients, the terminally ill, and the elderly. It is the world's first licensed hospital dedicated to such patients, and it continues to be a pioneer in palliative care in India. The hospital offers a wide range of services including hospital admission, physiotherapy, medical ventilator, palliative medicine, dialysis, and more, ensuring holistic support and comfort for patients. Since 2017, the hospital has admitted over 2,000 inpatients and provided compassionate care to many more, highlighting its significant role within the community.
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Physiotherapist located in Thrissur. The Physiotherapist will be responsible for assessing patients' physical conditions, developing customized treatment plans, and providing therapeutic exercises to bedridden patients, the terminally ill, and the elderly. Daily tasks include performing physiotherapy treatments, monitoring patients' progress, and adjusting treatments as necessary. Additionally, the Physiotherapist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care and comfort.
