Physics Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Physics Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physics and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This role involves teaching physics concepts to students, developing engaging lesson plans, and facilitating laboratory experiments. The candidate should be comfortable working in a private school setting and may also incorporate elements of Montessori education into their teaching approach.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
• Teach physics concepts, including mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, and optics, while integrating relevant topics such as cell biology, genetics, microbiology, and geometry when applicable.
• Conduct laboratory experiments and demonstrations to enhance students' understanding of theoretical concepts through practical application.
• Assess student performance through various evaluation methods, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities and share best practices in lesson planning and classroom management.
• Stay current with developments in the field of physics education and participate in professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics or a related field; teaching certification preferred.
• Experience teaching physics at the high school level or in a private school setting is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of laboratory practices and safety protocols.
• Familiarity with Montessori educational principles is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students effectively.
• Proven ability to create an organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Experience with research projects related to physics or related sciences is advantageous.
