Physician Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to join our nephrology team. The PA will work under the supervision of a nephrologist to provide high-quality care to patients with kidney-related conditions in both outpatient and inpatient settings. This position offers the opportunity to be part of a collaborative team managing chronic kidney disease, dialysis patients, and other renal disorders.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including histories and physical exams
• Diagnose and manage chronic kidney disease (CKD), acute kidney injury (AKI), and hypertension
• Monitor and manage patients on hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis
• Adjust medications and treatment plans based on clinical data and lab results
• Assist with management of fluid, electrolyte, and acid-base disorders
• Provide pre- and post-transplant support and follow-up care
• Order and interpret laboratory tests and imaging studies
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals
• Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications
• Document all patient interactions thoroughly and timely in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Participate in hospital rounds and respond to inpatient consults as needed

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Previous experience in nephrology, internal medicine, or a related specialty is preferred but not required
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with electronic medical records
