Physician Assistant – CTVS (Cardiac Surgery)

The Physician Assistant will work closely with CTVS surgeons to provide comprehensive care to cardiac surgery patients across pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist CTVS surgeons during ward rounds, OPD, ICU, and OT activities
• Manage pre-operative patient evaluation, investigations, and documentation
• Assist in intra-operative support as required
• Provide post-operative care including monitoring, progress notes, and follow-ups
• Coordinate with ICU, OT, nursing, perfusionist, and anesthesia teams
• Maintain accurate medical records, discharge summaries, and consent forms
• Assist in emergency cardiac cases and on-call duties
• Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, safety, and infection control standards
• Educate patients and attendants regarding post-surgical care

Educational Qualification:

• B.Sc / M.Sc Physician Assistant (Mandatory)
• Registration with relevant council/university (if applicable)

Experience:

• 1–4 years of experience in CTVS / Cardiac Surgery (Preferred)
• Freshers with relevant cardiac exposure may also be considered
