JD For System Administrator Position Title : Sr. System Administrator Location: Noida Qualification: 3 Year Diploma/Bachelors/masters degree in computer science Experience: 10 to 12 Years Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Data Centre, DR, Physical Server & Storage, Backup, Hyper-V Administration, Windows Server, IIS, MS SQL, and a solid understanding of RHEL systems. Responsible for managing and supporting critical production environments, ensuring high availability, system reliability, and optimal performance. Highlight risk at various levels- Single point of failure, capacity analysis, configuration assessment, security risk and threats. Key Responsibilities: Administer and troubleshoot Hyper-V, Windows Server (2016/2019), IIS, MS SQL, and RHEL environments, ensuring optimal performance and availability. Leverage expertise in Hyper-V virtualization to manage virtual environments and resolve issues promptly. Configure and maintain Windows Failover Clusters to ensure high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) readiness. Manage HPE physical servers, storage, and ILO management tools. Monitor server health and resolve issues related to hardware, system resources, and connectivity. Lead Change, incident and problem management pertaining to storage and Windows technology, including review of RCA reposts. Provide support for IIS, MS SQL, and application deployments, ensuring smooth configuration, backup, restoration, and troubleshooting. Manage the deployment of patches and updates in production environments. Actively monitor systems for security, performance, and usability concerns, resolving incidents within defined SLAs. Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide excellent customer support, addressing technical issues with effective solutions. Plan and implement disaster recovery strategies and backup solutions to ensure data integrity and business continuity. Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and recovery protocols. Ensure adherence to organizational policies, standards, and best practices. Minimum 6 years of experience with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies. Strong expertise in Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, File Servers, SMTP, WSUS, SMS Service, AD Connect, Azure AD, Office 365, and print servers. Proficient in system and service configuration, troubleshooting, hardening as per SOP and patch management. Hands-on experience with backup and restore operations, including disaster recovery procedures. Familiarity with security technologies and proactive threat mitigation practices. Proven experience in managing a 24x7 production environment. Should have experience in managing renewals, new procurement, contracts and dealing with external vendors / third parties. Certifications : Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Operating Systems (preferred). Additional certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Hyper-V, MS SQL, etc.) are a plus. Soft Skills : Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Excellent problem-solving abilities with a strong focus on delivering high-quality service under pressure. Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision in a high-visibility environment. Desirable Experience: Experience in the power sector is highly desirable.
