Our state-of-the-art centers focus on treating acute illnesses and injuries, workers" compensation, and occupational medicine, equipped with an onsite lab and in-house x-ray capability. As a Medical Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to provide general medical care under the guidance of a licensed provider to patients in an outpatient clinic setting. Your duties will include obtaining patient vitals, medical history, and reason for visit, preparing patients for physical exams, explaining procedures and treatments, ensuring accurate and timely test performance, administering medications, drawing blood, performing laboratory tests and equipment maintenance, responding to lab messages, conducting drug screening procedures, documenting patient immunizations, and more. To qualify for this role, you should have an Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preference will be given to AMT registered and AAMA Certified Medical Assistants. The compensation for this position ranges from $15.00 to $19.00 per hour. Prescribing medications based on best practice standards and consulting or referring to specialists when necessary are also part of your responsibilities. You will perform procedures such as local anesthesia, wound management, and fracture management. Treating every patient with professionalism and compassion is essential, along with maintaining patient confidentiality and communicating effectively with clinical staff. Creating a kind and caring environment includes arriving on time, adhering to dress code policies, and being professional and respectful towards colleagues. You will see all patients until the clinic closes, evaluating and treating them efficiently while maintaining high quality and safety standards. Accurate documentation of patient visits and follow-up care is crucial for communication, risk mitigation, and appropriate billing and coding. Basic qualifications include active certification by the Medical Board, licensure in the state of practice, and the ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment. Friendliness, customer service orientation, and the ability to work well in a team are also important. Preferred qualifications include CPR training.
