As a Senior PHP Developer, you will be responsible for developing and managing highly trafficked, scalable web applications using PHP5/MySQL. Your role will involve a deep understanding of databases to develop databases for such applications. Hands-on experience with Linux or Unix is required for this position. You will work closely with the team to understand project specifications and define system requirements. In this role, you will be expected to communicate project status updates to team members, analyze requirements, design solutions, write code, debug, test, document, and deploy changes to the system. You will also participate in project planning and deployment activities. The ideal candidate should have strong fundamental computer science concepts and object-oriented programming skills. Proficiency in interfaces, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, templating, caching, sessions, and authentication is essential. Experience with complex SQL queries and database schema design, particularly using MySQL, is required. Knowledge of Ajax concepts and open-source applications like Joomla, WordPress, and Drupal is highly desirable. Understanding of consuming and creating web services, as well as MySQL and Linux expertise, is a must for this role. Previous experience working on highly scalable, available, and high-traffic web applications is preferred. Excellent communication skills are essential for interacting with foreign clients, and proactive actions are encouraged in this position. Strong interpersonal skills are also important for effective collaboration within the team.,
