Phlebotomist

Job Summary:

To collect blood and other diagnostic samples from patients in a safe, professional, and efficient manner, ensuring accuracy, patient comfort, and compliance with clinical protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect blood (venipuncture and capillary) and other specimens as per physician/laboratory requests.
• Verify patient details and ensure correct labeling of all samples.
• Follow aseptic techniques and infection control guidelines during sample collection.
• Prepare, store, and transport samples safely to the laboratory.
• Provide care and reassurance to patients, especially children, elderly, and anxious individuals.
• Maintain accurate records of samples collected and update data in the clinic system.
• Ensure safe disposal of sharps, needles, and biomedical waste.
• Maintain phlebotomy equipment and consumables in proper working condition.
• Assist in clinic health camps or outreach sample collections if required.
• Uphold confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Requirements:

• DMLT/BSc qualified candidates are eligible to apply.
• 3 to 5 years in phlebotomy (clinic/hospital/diagnostic center experience are preferred).
• Male candidates are preferred.
• Proficiency in venipuncture and sample handling.
• Knowledge of laboratory protocols and biomedical waste disposal.
• Good communication and patient-handling skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in labeling/documentation.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a team environment.
• Immediate joiners are preferred.
