Job Description

Title: Phlebotomist Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The primary responsibility will be to collect blood and other samples from patients for medical testing, transfusions, or donations, while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and proper handling of specimens. Responsibilities: Collect blood samples from patients using venipuncture, finger sticks, or heel sticks. Properly label, store, and transport specimens to the laboratory. Verify patient identity and explain procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation. Maintain cleanliness and follow infection control and safety protocols. Enter patient and specimen information accurately into systems or forms. Inspect, maintain, and prepare phlebotomy equipment and supplies. Handle patients with care, especially children, elderly, or nervous individuals. Assist in managing inventory of laboratory and collection supplies.
