PhD Position in Design of Cross- and Multi-species Genetic Circuits

As a potential PhD candidate at the French National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food, and Environment (INRAE) in partnership with AgroParisTech and the University of Paris-Saclay, you will be joining the Micalis unit to work on the design of cross- and multi-species genetic circuits. Your role will involve developing innovative tools and strategies to implement genetic circuits in non-model organisms and multi-species communities to support various biotechnology applications. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and implement genetic circuits in non-model organisms - Develop strategies for multi-species genetic circuitry - Support the rapid deployment of synthetic genetic and metabolic circuits in biotechnology applications **Qualifications Required:** - Masters degree or Engineering degree in a relevant field - Experience in experimental synthetic biology, including microbiology and molecular/cell biology techniques - Background in programming, bioinformatics, or computational modeling is an asset - Strong communication skills - Willingness to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team The recruitment for this position is subject to validation by the Ministry due to the unit's status as a Restricted Zone.
