The Centre for Interdisciplinary Research (CIDR), SRM University–AP, Amaravati, India, is inviting applications for its full-time Ph.D. programme [Degree will be awarded by the Physics department] from highly motivated and passionate students for the academic year 2025–26.

Eligibility:

• First class M.Sc. degree in Physics / Electronics / Materials Science

· Eligible candidates for DST-INSPIRE Scholarship are also well supported.

Research Areas:

• Thin-Film Functional Materials for Energy and Sensing
• Nanostructured Materials for Sensors and Functional Devices
• Nanoscale Mechanical Behaviour & Phase Transformations

We offer:

✔ Fellowship:

• ₹36,000/- per month for the first two years
• ₹41,000/- per month for the subsequent two years

✔ Professional Development Grant (PDG):

• ₹20,000/- per annum for first two years
• ₹30,000/- per annum for the subsequent two years

✔ Full waiver of annual tuition: ₹41,000/-

✔ Subsidised boarding & lodging
