Job Title: PAUT Technician Department: NDT & Inspection Services Location: Vadodara, Gujarat Company: TCR Advanced Engineering Pvt. Ltd. Experience Required: 2 to 5 Years Job Type: Full-Time Role Summary: We are seeking a skilled and certified PAUT Technician with 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of advanced ultrasonic inspection techniques and be capable of executing inspections independently on-site or in our lab. Key Responsibilities: Perform PAUT inspections on welds, components, and materials as per project requirements and applicable standards. Calibrate PAUT equipment and set up scan plans using software. Interpret and evaluate scan data for flaws and discontinuities. Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain proper documentation. Coordinate with clients and project engineers to understand job requirements and deliver quality services. Follow all safety and quality protocols during inspection activities. Support other advanced NDT techniques (TOFD, UTG, etc.) when required. Required Qualifications: Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline. Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in PAUT inspection. Certification in ASNT/PCN Level II in PAUT (mandatory). Hands-on experience with PAUT equipment. Knowledge of NDT codes and standards. Role & responsibilities Candidate will be responsible for conducting ultrasonic testing (UT) on welds, forgings, castings, and other materials to detect defects and assess material integrity. The role ensures adherence to industry standards and client specifications. Key Responsibilities: Perform ultrasonic testing (UT) on components as per standard procedures. Identify, evaluate, and report discontinuities and defects. Interpret UT results and ensure compliance with industry codes (ASME, AWS, ISO, etc.). Maintain and calibrate UT equipment to ensure accurate results. Prepare inspection reports and maintain test records. Work closely with quality control and production teams to ensure high standards. Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with radiation and NDT safety standards. Provide guidance and training to junior NDT personnel if required. Qualifications & Requirements: Certification: Level II certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) as per ASNT, ISO 9712, or equivalent. Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in ultrasonic testing. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of UT equipment, defect identification, and industry codes. Other Requirements: Experience in phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT) is an added advantage.
