Pharmacy Assistant

You have an exciting opportunity to join the Pharmacy team at HMP Altcourse, a busy Category B male prison in Fazakerley, Liverpool. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will be involved in dispensing medication, second checking, preparing prescriptions, and more. This role will provide you with valuable experience in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. **Key Responsibilities:** - Dispensing medication accurately - Second checking prescriptions - Preparing prescriptions - Assisting with inventory management - Providing support to the pharmacy team as needed **Qualifications Required:** - Legal right to work in the UK - Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is advantageous - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work - Ability to work well in a fast-paced and challenging environment You will work full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with shifts between 07:00 - 15:00 / 08:00 - 16:00, Monday to Friday on a rotational basis. The salary for this position ranges from 25,557 to 29,723 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive support and training to help you excel in your role, including a bespoke induction, competency framework, career development opportunities, and access to a Learning Management System tailored to your learning needs.
