Job Description

The Hospital Pharmacist is responsible for preparing, dispensing, and reviewing medications for patients. They ensure the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical drugs and maintain compliance with hospital policies and government regulations.

Dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
Review prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, and drug interactions.
Advise physicians and nursing staff on proper medication usage.
Maintain proper storage and labeling of all medications.
Provide information to patients about their medications, including usage, side effects, and precautions.
Monitor patient responses and report adverse drug reactions.
Maintain accurate stock levels of medicines and reorder as necessary.
Inspect incoming drug supplies for quality, quantity, and expiry.
Maintain records of all controlled substances in accordance with legal requirements.
Ensure adherence to hospital policies, standard treatment protocols, and legal regulations.
Maintain detailed records of prescriptions, inventory, and audits.
Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Train junior pharmacy staff and interns as required.
