Pharmacist Assistant

Key Responsibilities

• Medication Dispensing:Assist pharmacists in preparing, labeling, and packaging medications for customers.
• Inventory Management:Monitor stock levels, order supplies, receive deliveries, and ensure shelves are organized and stocked.
• Customer Service:Greet customers, answer questions about over-the-counter medications, process payments, and provide general information.
• Prescription Processing:Take in prescriptions, update patient records, process orders using pharmacy computer systems, and manage billing and insurance information.
• Administrative Tasks:Answer phones, handle paperwork, maintain patient files, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Pharmacy Operations:Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment, ensure proper handling and storage of medications, and assist with the disposal of expired or unused stock.

Essential Skills

• Customer Service:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to assist customers effectively.
• Attention to Detail:Crucial for accurately preparing medications, handling prescriptions, and maintaining records.

Work EnvironmentPharmacy assistants work in various settings, including retail pharmacies, hospital pharmacies, and mail-order pharmacies. The environment is typically clean, well-lit, and organized, but may require standing for long periods and lifting heavy boxes of supplies.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
