Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Dispense prescription and non-prescription medications accurately.
Interpret prescriptions and verify dosages, drug interactions, and contraindications.
Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and storage.
Maintain accurate patient medication records and prescription logs.
Manage pharmacy stock, inventory levels, and expiration tracking.
Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws, drug schedules, and regulatory standards.
Assist in procurement, vendor coordination, and medicine billing.
Maintain hygiene and safety standards in the pharmacy.
Provide excellent customer service and support clinical staff if in a hospital setup.

Preferred candidate profile

B.Pharm or D.Pharm
from a recognized institution.
Valid Pharmacy Council Registration Certificate (Tamilnadu Pharmacy Council) Mandatory.
Good knowledge of drugs, dosages, interactions, and pharmacy practices.
Ability to work responsibly with high accuracy.
