We are currently looking for a highly skilled Pharma Forecasting Specialist to join our team. As a key stakeholder in a cross-functional team responsible for forecasting at global, country, and region levels, your role will involve developing brand volume forecasts, conducting strategic long-term brand and franchise forecasting, and solving analytical challenges using quantitative approaches. The ideal candidate will have around 6-8 years of forecasting experience, strong therapeutic area and pharma knowledge, and the ability to recommend assumptions, create concept notes, and deliver presentations. Basic Python coding skills are also required for this role. Key Responsibilities: - Develop brand volume forecasts for short-term and long-term planning. - Provide guidance based on franchise insights for strategic long-term brand and franchise forecasting. - Analyze regional and brand-level challenges quantitatively and perform sensitivity analyses. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams for global, country, and regional forecasting needs. - Maintain accurate forecasts using advanced analytical techniques and forecasting methodologies. - Recommend assumptions and methodologies for forecasting models and prepare concept notes and presentations to communicate findings effectively. - Utilize Python coding skills to automate and enhance forecasting processes. - Collaborate with global teams to gather requirements and deliver insights. - Analyze historical data and market trends to inform forecasting models. - Develop detailed reports and dashboards for forecasting purposes. - Present findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders and executive leadership. - Continuously optimize forecasting processes and methodologies and stay updated with the latest tools and technologies in forecasting and analytics. Key Competencies: - Strong business analysis skills with experience in requirement elicitation, data management, change management, and presentation. - Knowledge of Long Range Forecasting process. - Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. - Therapeutic area-specific knowledge and pharma experience. - Basic Python coding skills. Desired Skills and Experience: - Extensive experience in business analysis and forecasting within the pharmaceutical industry. - Strong knowledge of one or more pharma therapeutic areas such as Oncology, Vaccines, etc. - Proven track record in developing and maintaining accurate forecasts. - Advanced proficiency in business analysis and forecasting tools. - Basic proficiency in Python coding. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to manage tasks independently and proactively. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. - Personal drive and positive work ethic to deliver results within tight deadlines and demanding situations. Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other Quantitative fields. - Experience with tools and techniques like SQL, Tableau, Alteryx, and data processing. - Familiarity with Machine Learning/Statistical Learning and AI and their application cases is a plus. As a Manager or Senior Manager in the Strategic Forecasting role at Genpact, you will be responsible for developing short and long-term forecast models in the pharmaceutical industry. Your main tasks will include maintaining forecast models to reflect current data, seeking key business issues that impact product and market forecasts, and incorporating primary research results into forecast models. You will collaborate with client partners to anticipate risks and opportunities, implement new market trends and innovations, and drive automation of existing systems to enhance forecasting accuracy and efficiency. In this position, you will work closely with the Forecasting Center of Excellence to ensure objectivity of brand/therapeutic area forecasts, develop brand volume forecasts, conduct sensitivity analysis for risk management, and provide strategic insights on portfolio and brand strategy. You will also be responsible for reviewing sales performance, collaborating with internal and external partners to acquire relevant data, and presenting forecast approaches and methodologies at the executive level. To qualify for this role, you should have a Master's degree in Pharmacy, Business Administration, Statistics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. You should also have 4-6 years of experience in pharma forecasting, analytical experience in the healthcare and life sciences industry, and expertise in forecasting techniques and models. Proficiency in tools and techniques such as SQL, Tableau, Alteryx, and machine learning/statistical learning concepts is required. Experience with large datasets, patient modeling approaches, and analytical tools like Python/R is preferred.
