Address patient questions and concerns regarding their medications. Ensure patients understand their medication regimens and adherence strategies. Medication Management: Monitor patient medication profiles to identify and resolve potential drug interactions or contraindications. Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy and patient outcomes. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medications, treatment guidelines, and drug interactions. Compliance and Documentation: Adhere to federal and state regulations related to the dispensing of medications. Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, drug inventories, and patient interactions. Implement and uphold quality assurance processes to ensure safe medication practices. Pharmacy Operations: Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, stocking, and checking expiration dates of medications. Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards. Participate in continuing education to stay current with advances in pharmacology and pharmacy practice. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and nurses, to support patient care. Participate in patient care team meetings and contribute to care planning. Educate patients and healthcare providers on medication-related issues.
