Brief of Duties and responsibilities • Understanding the curriculum and developing schedules, lesson plans and teaching methods that will help students cover the required content. • Preparing and delivering lessons that are stimulating and clear. • Educating students on lab safety and ensuring all experiments are carried out responsibly. • Setting up tests, assignments, and grading students fairly. • Ensuring appropriate resources and consultation times are available to students. • Mentoring and providing support to student & co-teachers. • Attending staff and parent meetings, conferences, workshops, and other continuing education programs. • Handling various administration functions, which include updating student records, monitoring students progress etc. • Ensuring a safe, healthy classroom environment where learning can take place. • Checking and assessing the work of students • Taking remedial and extra classes (in case of day teacher), prep and tutorial duties (in case of residential teacher) • Preparing students for subject-based competitions and events • Accountable for all official duties and responsibilities assigned by authorities • Engage students to ensure a lively classroom atmosphere. • Willing to conduct classes effectively through onsite and online modes. Required Qualifications Educational: Masters Degree in Economics or a related discipline with B. Ed. • Relevant certification may be required. • Prior experience teaching economics at the senior secondary level, preferably in a CBSE school. • Knowledge of teaching styles recommended. • Excellent interpersonal, as well as written and verbal communication skills. • Passion for teaching and ability to inspire students. • Organizational and time management skills. • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students and parents Work Experience: Min 3 years as PGT in a reputed school. Selection Process : Written Examination, Subject Demo & Personal/Walk-in Interview.
