PGT Computer Science

The PGT Computer Science teacher is responsible for teaching senior secondary students (Classes 11 and 12) advanced concepts in Computer Science, including programming, data structures, networking, database management, and emerging technologies as per the board curriculum (CBSE/ICSE/State Board). The role involves lesson planning, practical lab sessions, assessments, and guiding students toward academic and career excellence in the computing field.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Curriculum Delivery

• Teach Computer Science topics such as:
• Python / Java programming
• Data Structures & Algorithms
• Computer Networks
• Operating Systems
• Database Management Systems (SQL)
• Web Technologies
• Artificial Intelligence basics (if part of curriculum)
• Prepare and deliver well-structured lesson plans aligned with board guidelines.
• Conduct practical classes in the computer lab and ensure proper use of equipment.

Assessment & Evaluation

• Design and conduct regular tests, assignments, practical exams, and projects.
• Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Prepare students for board examinations through revision, mock tests, and remedial classes.

Classroom & Lab Management

• Maintain discipline and ensure a safe, positive learning environment.
• Manage and troubleshoot basic hardware/software issues in the lab.
• Ensure systems, networks, and educational software are functioning properly (in coordination with IT dept.).

Student Development

• Motivate and mentor students interested in technology and computing careers.
• Guide students in coding competitions, Olympiads, exhibitions, and tech clubs.
• Support slow learners and provide enrichment activities for advanced learners.

Administrative & Professional Duties

• Maintain student attendance, records, and academic reports.
• Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and school events.
• Collaborate with other faculty for interdisciplinary learning activities.
• Stay updated with technological trends and integrate them into teaching.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree (M.Sc. Computer Science / B.Tech / MCA or equivalent).
• B.Ed.
• Strong knowledge of programming languages and computer science fundamentals.

• Proficiency in Python/Java/C++ and database skills.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to engage students using interactive teaching methods.
• Problem-solving and analytical thinking.

Work Experience

• 1–3 years of teaching experience at senior secondary level

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,490.13 - ₹42,015.98 per month
