Job Title: Project Manager Cybersecurity Location: Hyderabad, India Type: FTE Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Project Manager to lead and deliver complex security initiatives across the organization. This role is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget, while aligning with enterprise security strategies and compliance standards. This individual must be willing to work onsite 4 days a week in Hyderabad and collaborate during some US EST working hours. Key Responsibilities: Project Leadership & Execution Develop comprehensive project plans for cybersecurity initiatives, including scope, milestones, timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies. Manage day-to-day project activities and track progress using project management tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project). Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and budget. Experience managing enterprise security audits, penetration testing, or incident response programs. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. Knowledge of cloud security (GCP, Azure), DevSecOps, or Zero Trust architecture is a plus. Partner with technical teams to coordinate the implementation of security controls such as firewalls, SIEM, vulnerability management, endpoint protection, and identity & access management. Stakeholder Management Collaborate with internal teams (IT, Legal, Risk, Compliance) and external vendors to define project objectives and success criteria. Facilitate regular stakeholder meetings, provide status updates, and manage expectations and communications throughout the project lifecycle. Translate technical requirements into actionable project plans that align with business priorities. Risk & Issue Management Proactively identify, track, and mitigate project risks and operational impacts. Lead troubleshooting efforts and escalate issues as needed to ensure minimal disruption to security services. Reporting & Governance Maintain accurate documentation of project artifacts, including project charters, RAID logs, change control, and post-project reviews. Provide executive-level reporting on status, milestones, financials, and strategic impacts. Qualifications: 10+ years of project management experience, with at least 5 years focused on cybersecurity or IT security programs. Strong understanding of information security principles, technologies, and best practices. Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities. Effective verbal and written communication, especially when dealing with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with shifting priorities. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, JIRA, ServiceNow). Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement abilities. Experience with Agile, Scrum, and/or traditional Waterfall project methodologies Experience with benefit realization frameworks, financial governance, and KPI tracking.
