Role & responsibilities We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented professional to lead our Used Lubricant Oil Re-Refining Plant. The Plant Head will be responsible for overall operations, safety, regulatory compliance, team leadership, and driving profitability. This role holds full P&L responsibility and will ensure the plant operates efficiently, sustainably, and profitably in line with company goals and environmental standards. Strategic and P&L Management: Own the plants Profit & Loss, ensuring cost-effective operations and margin improvement. Drive strategic planning and budgeting for the plant. Implement business strategies that ensure plant profitability, efficiency, and sustainability. Monitor KPIs and operational metrics to achieve financial and production targets. Operations Management: Oversee daily plant operations including feedstock procurement through different channel partners and other stakeholders, refining processes, product quality, and dispatch. Optimize plant throughput, yield, and energy efficiency. Ensure maximum plant uptime through effective preventive and predictive maintenance. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, quality, logistics, and safety. Develop team capabilities through training, performance management, and succession planning. Compliance and Safety: Ensure full compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards. Liaise with environmental agencies and regulatory authorities. Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Supply Chain and Procurement: Oversee procurement of used oil feedstock and other raw materials. Collaborate with logistics for inbound and outbound transportation. Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with senior leadership, customers, vendors, and government authorities. Support business development efforts to identify new markets or partners. Preferred candidate profile Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or related field. MBA is a plus. Minimum 10-15 years of experience in used oil re-refining plant management, petroleum refining, chemical processing, or related industries, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Strong understanding of used oil re-refining technologies (e.g., Filtration, vacuum distillation, polishing technologies, hydrotreating). Proven experience in managing P&L and driving operational excellence. Continuously developing through learning and competency building. Job Title: Consultant Petroleum Refinery Project Location: Oman Employment Type: Contract Reporting To: Project Director / VP Projects / Managing Director Industry: Oil & Gas / Petroleum Refining Salary Negotiable as per candidate experience and knowledge Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Consultant to support the planning, execution, and management of a petroleum refinery project. The ideal candidate will have deep domain expertise in refinery operations, process engineering, project management, and compliance with industry standards and environmental regulations. Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic and technical consulting throughout the lifecycle of the refinery project from feasibility to commissioning. Support project planning, cost estimation , and technical feasibility studies . Advise on the selection and design of refining units including CDU, VDU, FCC, Hydrocracking, and treatment facilities. Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) teams to review PFDs, P&IDs, and layout designs . Ensure alignment with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards and regulatory compliance (e.g., API, ASME, ISO, OISD, MoEF). Recommend process improvements , technology alternatives, and best practices to improve efficiency, yield, and profitability. Participate in vendor selection, technology licensing discussions, and equipment evaluation . Conduct risk assessments , suggest mitigation strategies, and ensure timely project deliverables. Prepare and deliver detailed reports, presentations, and technical documentation for stakeholders and board members. Guide the training and handover to operations teams during pre-commissioning and commissioning phases. Qualifications: Bachelors/Masters degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related field. 15+ years of experience in petroleum refining, oil & gas consulting, or EPC project execution. Proven track record in setting up or expanding refinery infrastructure . Familiarity with modern refining technologies and process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD). Strong understanding of Indian and international petroleum industry regulations. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Skills: Experience working with national or international oil companies (IOCs/NOCs). PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
