A Perfusionist operates the heart-lung machine and other equipment during cardiac surgeries and procedures. They are responsible for managing the patient’s circulatory and respiratory functions while the heart is stopped. Duties include monitoring blood flow, oxygenation, blood gases, and managing medications and fluids. Perfusionists work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses in the operating room.
Qualification: B.Sc. in Perfusion Technology is required.
