We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager US Mortgage Operations to lead and manage a team supporting critical US mortgage processes. The ideal candidate will bring deep domain expertise in US mortgage operations, proven people management capabilities, and the ability to drive operational excellence. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Lead, mentor, and manage a team of mortgage professionals handling end-to-end mortgage operations across one or more lines of business (Origination, Processing, Underwriting, Closing, PostClosing, Servicing, or Default). Ensure team adherence to client-specific service level agreements (SLAs), compliance requirements, and quality standards. Monitoring of daily/weekly workflow, allocate resources, and track productivity to meet business targets. Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching, and training to enhance team efficiency and domain expertise Strong domain knowledge in at least one of the following mortgage lines of business: Loan Origination & Processing/ Underwriting & Closing/ Post-Closing/ Performing Servicing/ Foreclosure/ Bankruptcy/ Default Servicing/ Quality Control. Proven experience in people management, team building, and performance coaching. Sound understanding of US mortgage regulations, compliance standards, and investor guidelines. Excellent communication, client management, and stakeholder engagement skills.

You are a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Manager in US Mortgage Operations, responsible for leading and managing a team supporting critical US mortgage processes. With deep domain expertise in US mortgage operations and proven people management capabilities, you will drive operational excellence within the team. Your key responsibilities will include leading, mentoring, and managing a team of mortgage professionals across various lines of business such as Origination, Processing, Underwriting, Closing, Post-Closing, Servicing, or Default. You will ensure team adherence to client-specific service level agreements, compliance requirements, and quality standards. Monitoring daily workflow, allocating resources, and tracking productivity to meet business targets will also be part of your role. In addition, you will conduct regular performance reviews, coaching, and training to enhance team efficiency and domain expertise. Driving process improvements, automation opportunities, and operational best practices to improve accuracy and turnaround time will be crucial. As the first point of escalation for client queries, exceptions, or operational challenges, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure seamless operations. You will be required to prepare and present operational dashboards, MIS reports, and performance metrics to senior leadership and clients. Fostering a positive and professional team culture aligned with organizational goals is essential for this role. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in any stream, a minimum of 4 years of experience in a Leadership/People Management role, and strong domain knowledge in US mortgage operations. Proven experience in people management, team building, and performance coaching is necessary, along with a sound understanding of US mortgage regulations, compliance standards, and investor guidelines. Excellent communication, client management, stakeholder engagement skills, strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment are required. Proficiency in MS Office and mortgage LOS is essential, along with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Preferred attributes for this role include experience in managing client interactions with US-based lenders or servicers, exposure to process transitions, migrations, or setting up new teams, and certifications in mortgage or compliance (desirable but not mandatory). This is a full-time position with a requirement to work in US night shifts from the office in Bangalore. Remote or hybrid working is not possible.
