Role Purpose

Performance Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning & Execution

Define and implement performance test strategies aligned with project goals.
Develop dynamic test scripts and scenarios using tools like
LoadRunner
,
JMeter
,
Gatling
.
Execute performance tests, analyze results, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
Ensure adherence to testing standards, metrics, and reporting protocols.
Promote reusability of test assets across projects.

Technical Expertise

Proficient in performance testing across protocols (Web HTTP, Siebel, SOAP).
Experience with
CI/CD tools
: Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub, Maven.
Hands-on with
cloud platforms
: AWS, Oracle OCI, Kubernetes, Microservices.
Strong scripting skills in
Java, C, VB Macros, SQL, Shell
.
Deep understanding of JVM internals, GC, thread dumps, and DB performance.
Familiarity with APM tools:
Dynatrace, AppDynamics, CA Wily, HP Diagnostics
.
Exposure to support tools:
Fiddler, Firebug, HAR, Lighthouse
.

Testing Strategy & Standards

Ensure all deliverables conform to industry standards (e.g., ISO9000).
Recommend best practices and drive continuous improvement.
Manage defect lifecycle using defined processes.

Stakeholder Communication

Collaborate with product owners, developers, and IT operations.
Escalate risks/issues and provide timely status updates.
Work closely with Test Leads and Service Managers to ensure quality delivery.
