Performance Test Engineer

Exp : 7 to 10 yearsJob Summary:We are seeking an experienced Performance Test Engineer with strong expertise in LoadRunner to conduct performance, scalability, and stability testing of desktop thick client applications, AJAX-based client protocols, and Teamcenter Unified (TCU) native apps. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of protocol-level performance testing and hands-on scripting, execution, and analysis skills.Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop performance test scripts using LoadRunner (VuGen) for:
• Desktop-based thick client applications
• AJAX/HTTP protocol-based web components
• Teamcenter Unified (TCU) native applications
• Identify appropriate protocols (AJAX TruClient, Web HTTP/HTML, RDP, etc.) for scripting based on application architecture.
• Collaborate with development, system, and infrastructure teams to understand application flows and performance KPIs.
• Design test scenarios for load, stress, endurance, and spike testing across different modules of TCU and thick client applications.
• Configure LoadRunner Controller and execute tests, monitor server and application performance during load.
• Analyze test results using LoadRunner Analysis, identify bottlenecks, and provide recommendations.
• Work closely with developers and system admins to perform root cause analysis for performance issues.
• Create performance test summary and detailed analysis reports for stakeholders.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in performance testing using LoadRunner
• Strong experience in scripting protocols like:
• Web (HTTP/HTML)
• AJAX TruClient
• Windows Socket / RDP (for thick client apps)
• Citrix / TruClient / SAP GUI (if relevant to Teamcenter deployment)
• Experience in testing Teamcenter Unified (TCU) or other PLM solutions (preferred)
• Familiarity with performance monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, AppDynamics, PerfMon, AWS CloudWatch)
• Experience with desktop/native app automation and protocol analysis
• Good understanding of application architecture, including client-server, middleware, and databases.
• Ability to analyze system metrics like CPU, memory, I/O, network, DB queries, and identify bottlenecks.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in CI/CD pipeline integration for performance tests
• Scripting knowledge in JavaScript, Python, or Shell scripting
• Experience with JMeter is an added advantage
