As a Performance Test Engineer, youll design, develop, and execute performance tests to ensure high-quality embedded systems that meet performance, scalability, and reliability requirements. What You Will Do 1. Performance Testing: Design and execute performance, stress, and endurance tests for embedded systems (e.g., infotainment, control units, IoT devices). 2. Automation Scripting: Develop automation scripts for embedded test environments using Python, Shell, or C/C++. 3. Test Framework Development: Build and maintain automated performance test frameworks tailored to RTOS/Linux/QNX-based systems. 4. Performance Evaluation: Evaluate boot time, response latency, CPU/memory usage, and thermal performance under different conditions. 5. CI/CD Integration: Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI. 6. Log Analysis: Analyze logs, hardware counters, and system metrics using serial console, CAN tools, and embedded debuggers. 7. Collaboration: Collaborate with software developers, hardware teams, and system architects to optimize performance. 8. Documentation: Document performance benchmarks, regression results, and insights for cross-functional consumption. What You Need to Be Successful 1. Performance Testing Experience: 3-6 years of experience in performance testing. 2. Technical Skills: Strong technical skills in performance testing tools, methodologies, and analysis. 3. Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python, Shell, or C/C++ for automation scripting. 4. RTOS/Linux/QNX Experience: Experience with RTOS/Linux/QNX-based systems. Bonus Points if You Have 1. Experience with Embedded Systems: Knowledge of embedded systems, infotainment, control units, or IoT devices. 2. CI/CD Experience: Familiarity with CI/CD tools and methodologies. 3. Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex performance data and identify areas for improvement. What Makes You Eligible 1.
