Performance Test Engineer

Job Brief:

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute performance testing plans, scripts, and scenarios.
• Identify performance bottlenecks, analyze results, and recommend improvements.
• Conduct load, stress, endurance, and spike testing to validate system performance.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to integrate performance testing into the software development lifecycle.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance metrics such as response times, throughput, and resource usage.
• Develop and maintain automated performance tests and integrate them with CI/CD pipelines.
• Document test plans, results, and performance issues clearly and concisely.
• Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging performance testing tools and techniques.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in performance testing of web applications, APIs, or distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of performance testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with one or more performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, K6).
• Good scripting/programming skills to develop automated test scripts.
• Experience with monitoring and analyzing performance data using relevant tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD integration and Agile development practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms and containerized environments.
• Knowledge of networking, databases, and system architecture.
• Exposure to multiple programming languages or frameworks.
• Certification in software testing or performance engineering is a plus.
