Job Summary As a Guidewire Performance QA, you will lead performance testing efforts to ensure the reliability, scalability, and responsiveness of our software applications. Your role involves designing, implementing, and executing performance testing strategies, collaborating with development teams, and conducting performance tuning activities. Join our team to leverage your expertise in performance testing and contribute to innovative projects in the P&C insurance industry. Responsibilities Lead the design, implementation, and execution of performance testing strategies for our software applications. Define performance testing objectives, requirements, and success criteria, and ensure alignment with project goals and objectives. Develop comprehensive performance test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on project requirements and technical specifications. Design and implement performance test scripts, simulations, and scenarios to simulate realistic user loads and stress conditions. Execute performance tests using industry-standard performance testing tools and frameworks. Monitor and analyze system performance metrics to identify performance bottlenecks, areas for improvement, and potential scalability issues. Collaborate with development teams to identify and implement performance optimizations and enhancements. Conduct performance tuning activities, such as code profiling, database optimization, caching, and resource allocation adjustments. Document performance testing results, findings, and recommendations in clear and concise reports. Communicate performance testing progress, status, and issues to project stakeholders, including project managers, developers, and business leaders. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in performance testing. Continuously evaluate and improve performance testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Requirements Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. Minimum 4 to 6 years of experience in performance testing or related roles, with a focus on testing web-based and enterprise applications Strong understanding of performance testing principles, methodologies, and best practices. Hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as NeoLoad, JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or similar. Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Java for test automation and performance test scripting Sound work experience in performance testing of Guidewire Policy Center, Billing Center & Claim Center applications. Experience in creating the performance scripts, reviewing, and updating it. Experience in debugging, identifying the root cause of the problem and provide recommendations to improve it Experience with performance monitoring and profiling tools such as New Relic, AppDynamics, or similar. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex systems and identify performance bottlenecks. Strong understanding of P&C insurance, including both Personal Lines and Commercial Lines. Proficiency in Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile environments. Solid knowledge of test management tools such as HP ALM, Jira, ADO, Rally or similar. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a keen diligence. Experience working in Agile environment following Onsite Offshore mode. Mentor junior performance team members, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise to help them grow and develop in their roles. Good To Have Relevant certifications such as ISTQB, CPTP, CLRP or Agile certifications are desirable. P&C Insurance Knowledge - Personal Lines and Commercial Lines.
