You are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Dance Teacher specializing in both Classical and Western dance forms. Your role will be to inspire students to develop their skills and passion for dance, encouraging artistic expression while maintaining discipline and professionalism. You will be responsible for instructing students across various age groups, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of both traditional and contemporary dance styles. Your responsibilities will include developing and delivering engaging dance lessons in Classical (Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, etc.) and Western (Jazz, Hip-hop, Contemporary, etc.) dance forms. You will guide students through choreography, technique, and performance preparation. Additionally, you will design structured lesson plans that incorporate both practical and theoretical aspects of dance, continuously updating and adapting lesson content to suit the needs of different student levels. Ensuring student progress through regular evaluations and performances will be a key aspect of your role. You will provide constructive feedback and guidance for improvement in technique and performance. Furthermore, you will prepare students for school events, competitions, and annual cultural programs, collaborating with other faculty members to coordinate and organize dance-related activities and performances. Maintaining a positive, encouraging, and disciplined classroom environment is essential. You will implement strategies to ensure productive use of time and student engagement. Regularly communicating with parents regarding student progress and participation, as well as participating in parent-teacher meetings and school events to discuss student development, will be part of your responsibilities. You will need to stay updated with the latest trends in dance education and integrate them into teaching. Participating in workshops, seminars, and training to further develop teaching methods will also be encouraged. In terms of qualifications, you should have a Bachelors or Masters degree in Dance or Performing Arts, with specialization in Classical and Western dance forms, along with relevant certifications and experience levels as mentioned. Preferred experience includes teaching at schools or dance academies and the ability to prepare students for performances at both the school and competitive levels. The screening process will involve a Dance Performance Demonstration, an Interview focusing on teaching philosophy, classroom management, and curriculum planning, and a Proficiency Test assessing the ability to use digital tools for virtual instruction if required.
