As an Alpha Data Service (ADS) Implementation Consultant at State Street Global Alpha Data Platform, you will play a crucial role in the Charles River implementation team. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of consulting projects, including the installation of n-tier software, integration with third-party systems, disaster recovery/high availability (DR/HA) design, documentation, technical training for Alpha clients, and more. This position is highly technical and involves working with ETL/ELT data pipelines, Snowflake DWH, CI/CD deployment pipelines, data readiness (data quality) design, bespoke extensions, and implementation. The team you will be a part of is within Charles River Development (CRD), which became a part of State Street in 2018. CRD specializes in creating enterprise investment management software solutions for large institutions across institutional investment, wealth management, and hedge funds. Together, we have launched the State Street Alpha platform, the first open front-to-back platform in 2019. If you are excited about contributing to next-generation infrastructure using emerging technologies such as AI and Blockchain, this opportunity is for you. Your responsibilities will include developing, testing, and deploying high-performance Java applications, collaborating with team members and stakeholders, writing efficient and maintainable code, participating in code reviews, troubleshooting and resolving software defects and issues, ensuring application performance, uptime, and scalability, and staying updated on new trends in Java development. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, along with proven experience as a Java Developer. You should have a deep understanding of core Java concepts, strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, knowledge of object-oriented programming principles, experience with version control systems like Perforce and Git, good communication and teamwork skills, familiarity with active directory entitlement solutions, and 5-7 years of experience working with SQL (RDBMS, OLAP, DW). Key skills required for this role include Core Java, SQL Server, Maven/Gradle, RESTful APIs, Perforce/Git, and JUnit. Additionally, it would be advantageous to have skills in Azure Fundamentals, CI/CD, Java-based ETL tools like Pentaho Kettle or Talend, Crystal/SSRS report experience, and any prior CRIMS/CRD experience.,
