You will understand relevant business processes, suggest continuous improvements / new initiatives which you will then design, build, test and deliver technical solutions to the end-user. WHAT DOES THIS ROLE DO You will be responsible for: Technology To Provide insight into how we can deliver the best technological solutions driving the most value for the wider organisation. Develop ideas, processes and technical solutions that improve our offering. Use technical expertise to deliver the right solutions and services for Pentland. Ensure the platforms have the right level of availability, aligned to the requirements of the solution and the agreed budget. Responsible for delivering all the service and project related elements of the technology area you own. Ensure the right technical governance is adopted and documentation is in place. Be a subject matter expert on LAN/WAN technologies recommending best of breed solutions to meet Pentland's ever-changing technology and physical landscape. Understand the importance of LAN perimeter security to protect Pentland's network and data integrity. Keep abreast of advances in communications technology such as SD-WAN, next generation firewalls and WAN optimisation. Solution and Project Delivery Understand overall project methodology and how to work within a project environment. Ensuring procedures related to identification, changes, testing, documentation, approval and communication of any modification to the system are followed. Supervising the implementation of changes to the system, including those which have a multi-brand and global impact. Including active and positive adherence to Pentland and its change control. To help deliver project tasks within agreed timescales and budget. Be part of project teams and contribute to the planning and resourcing of project tasks where appropriate. Identify technical solutions for problems, improvements and developments. Ability to recognise and communicate global implications of changes. Support and Service Ensure excellent support is provided to the business in the day-to-day running of the operational business systems. Understand the impact of the change (big or small) and being able to sign off the right solutions. To support the Workplace Technologies Manager and VP of Global Technology & Security Operations with regards to ad-hoc department activities. Work with regional and local teams in implementing and supporting solutions. Monitor and maintain Pentland's SD-WAN, LAN and WLAN estate across all sites. Ensure all inter-site and internet connectivity is right sized to meet demand. Ensure Pentland's WLAN estate is available across all sites and can meet current and future demands. Ensure Pentland's remote access solution is maintained and available. Monitor and report on third party comms providers such as BT to ensure their service is within SLA. Contribute to the Release & Change management forums where is needed (CRB, TAB & CAB). Provide an escalation point for technical Analysts. WHAT DO I BRING TO THE ROLE Technology 3rd line troubleshooting. In depth knowledge of Microsoft InTune MDM. Knowledge Pentland's monitoring tools e.g. Solar Winds and the ability to react to alerts. Sophos Anti-Virus management. Advanced Windows 11 desktop environments. Apple Mac hardware and OSX an advantage. Apple Mac device management technologies an advantage. A broad knowledge of advances in workplace technologies and how we can best adopt them Office 365 - Hybrid setup, deployment, support and administration. Azure experience. Advanced SD-WAN support and configuration (Cato Networks or similar). Advanced Aruba switch configuration and support. Advanced Aruba WLAN configuration and support. Legacy Cisco switch support. WMS and RDT (handheld scanners) troubleshooting in a warehouse environment. Successful implementation of finance transformation initiatives. High levels of team engagement and retention. WHAT'S THE MISSION FOR THIS ROLE The SAP GRC Security & Risk Lead will play a pivotal role in elevating Pentland's SAP access governance by enabling transparency, risk accountability, and secure access management across all global SAP environments. This role will own the configuration, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the our SAP GRC platform (v12.0), working in close partnership with business leads to embed access governance and risk ownership into daily operations. By combining deep technical knowledge with strong business engagement, this role ensures SAP access risks are visible, mitigated, and aligned to audit and compliance expectations. WHAT DOES THIS ROLE DO 1. GRC Platform Ownership & Security Administration Administer SAP GRC Access Control (ARM, ARA, BRM, EAM) in alignment with the global access governance framework. Maintain and monitor risk rule sets, mitigation controls, role design and firefighter configuration in SAP GRC. Oversee SAP user access provisioning and approval workflows, supporting ECC environments. Support global adoption of the GRC platform through performance tuning, process optimisation, and issue resolution. Ensure the system operates in line with audit expectations and compliance standards. 2. Business Engagement & Risk Transparency Act as the key liaison between IT and business stakeholders across Finance, HR, Supply Chain, and Commercial functions. Lead regular business review sessions to surface unresolved violations, review mitigation controls, and drive access accountability. Educate business users on GRC usage, risk ownership, and compliance responsibilities. Champion transparency and standardisation in access governance processes across all regions and brands. 3. Process Governance & Continuous Improvement Manage the joiner-mover-leaver (JML) process for SAP users, ensuring timely and compliant access changes. Collaborate with Internal Audit to align controls, reporting, and documentation to regulatory expectations. Review and reengineer SAP roles in partnership with role owners to ensure they reflect business operating models and reduce SoD risk. Document key access control processes and maintain audit-ready evidence and reporting. Technical & Functional Expertise Overall 10 years with 3+ years of hands-on experience with SAP GRC Access Control (preferably version 10.x or 12.0). Knowledge of SAP user provisioning, role design, and SoD risk management in ECC. Experience in configuring and managing mitigation controls, risk analysis, and Firefighter ID processes.
