As a Database Administrator at P Square Solutions LLC, a part of Neology Inc, you will be responsible for designing, creating, and managing efficient database tables, schemas, and relationships based on business requirements. Your role will involve ensuring that data models are scalable, secure, and optimized for performance while participating in data modeling activities to support data integrity and normalization. Your key responsibilities will include developing and maintaining complex PostgreSQL functions, stored procedures, and triggers, as well as implementing business logic within the database using SQL, PL/pgSQL, and other scripting languages. Collaboration with application developers to integrate databases into system architecture will also be a significant part of your role. You will be expected to analyze slow-running queries and optimize them to improve database performance, along with implementing indexing strategies, partitioning, and other performance enhancement techniques. Continuous monitoring, troubleshooting, and improvement of query execution times and database efficiency will be essential aspects of your work. Data management and integrity will be crucial, and you will need to ensure the accuracy and consistency of data by implementing proper data validation, referential integrity, and constraints. Additionally, performing data migrations and transformations to meet changing business requirements and maintaining updated documentation for database structures, procedures, and standards will be part of your daily tasks. To excel in this role, you should have a strong proficiency in PostgreSQL, including PL/pgSQL and SQL, and proven experience in designing and managing relational database schemas and tables. Expertise in creating efficient PostgreSQL functions, stored procedures, views, and triggers, as well as hands-on experience with database performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing, will be required. Experience working with Linux-based environments for hosting and managing PostgreSQL databases and scripting experience with Python, Bash, or other automation tools for database operations are also preferred technical skills. Knowledge of version control systems like Git and experience working within Agile development teams will be beneficial. Hands-on experience with query optimization, indexing, statistics, and familiarity with NoSQL databases like Redis, cloud-based database services such as AWS RDS, AWS Aurora, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, performance tuning tools like Toad, PEM (Postgres, enterprise manager), Redgate, and data archival and purging processes will be considered an added advantage for this role.,

The Database Engineering team at Dynamic Yield is seeking a Platform Engineer II to innovate and problem-solve, driving our customer experience strategy forward. The ideal candidate is passionate about the customer experience, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset. You will provide Redis Database support for Dynamic Yield's application databases in On-Prem and Cloud environments, including AWS ElastiCache. As a Platform Engineer II, you'll play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining Dynamic Yield's database systems. This involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, optimize database performance, and ensure data integrity and security, all while maintaining best practices. Roles and Responsibilities Database Management & Optimization: Configure, patch, upgrade, and/or optimize database software and related products. Understand database security topics, including database users, roles, and privileges. Possess intermediate skills in testing, diagnosing, and resolving database issues. Participate in the development, maintenance, testing, implementation, and support of assigned database technologies and associated software products. Demonstrate a solid understanding of creating and implementing Data Definition Language (DDL) to support development efforts. Possess basic to intermediate performance and tuning skills, with the ability to identify, respond to, and resolve database performance issues, and communicate resolutions to technical teams. Collaboration & Communication: Partner with technology teams and customers to understand business needs and communicate solutions in business terms (with mentoring). Communicate, collaborate, and work effectively in a global environment. Possess good written and verbal communication skills to promote sound database structures, data governance, standards, and procedures to internal and external teams. Demonstrate good documentation skills to contribute to Database Engineering processes and procedures. Operational Adherence & Project Involvement: Successfully follow change management, problem management, and incident management processes and procedures. May manage smaller projects/initiatives with specialized knowledge within the assigned discipline. Availability: Ability to be on-call after hours and weekends. Learning & Best Practices: Ability to learn Dynamic Yield best practices in planning, coordinating, implementing, and maintaining database solutions. Skills and Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Database Expertise: Proven work experience as a Database Engineer or similar role, with expertise in managing Oracle or PostgreSQL databases . Strong understanding of Database Management Systems (DBMS), especially Oracle or PostgreSQL . Experience with database design, normalization, and optimization techniques . Familiarity with database recovery and availability principles, including defining and implementing database backup and recovery principles to guarantee point-in-time recovery for different database technologies. Experience defining and implementing database resiliency strategy to test and account for different failure scenarios (e.g., network, disaster, power). Operating Systems & Automation: Proficiency in working with Windows and Linux based operating systems. Proficiency in automation tools such as Chef and Ansible , with scripting knowledge in Python and Shell . Monitoring & Security: Advanced skills in monitoring and reporting tools such as OEM, PEM, Dynatrace, and Splunk . Familiarity with database security best practices, including implementation of SSL/TLS, TDE (Transparent Data Encryption), Access Management principles, and authentication mechanisms such as LDAP/AD.
