As a Principal Analog Design Engineer specializing in New Product Development within Power Management at Onsemi in Bengaluru, India, you will be a crucial member of the team responsible for the advancement of various Power Management products for consumer, industrial, and automotive applications. These products include DC-DC PMIC/POL, Multiphase controllers, Dr. MOS, AC-DC converters, LED drivers, SiC drivers, switches, and e-fuses. Your primary responsibilities in this role will include leading an analog IP block from its definition phase to the delivery of the IP. You will be tasked with evaluating the intermediate and final results of projects both during the design phase and the silicon evaluation stage to ensure the achievement of technical objectives. Furthermore, you will collaborate with physical designers, providing guidance and closely monitoring the progress of IC layout. Collaboration will be a key aspect of your role as you work with Design Verification teams in the pre-tapeout phase to guarantee the completion of all technical tasks before tapeout. Additionally, you will liaise with validation, product engineering, and test engineering teams to facilitate a successful transition to production. Your collaboration extends globally as you engage with overseas design and systems teams on technical aspects, IP development, and knowledge sharing. In this position, you will take ownership of the technical outcomes related to the design, verification, implementation, and execution of power management ICs. These outcomes may encompass a wide range of complexities, from simple regulators to intricate mixed-signal designs and control loops. Understanding project goals, establishing realistic schedules and resource plans, monitoring progress against the plan, and ensuring clarity within the team regarding goals and objectives are also part of your responsibilities. To qualify for this role, you should hold a BS in Electrical Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 10 years of experience, or an MS with at least 8 years of experience. A solid track record of delivering multiple complex IPs to manufacturing, extensive knowledge of engineering processes, principles, and methodologies, as well as the ability to handle multiple projects within a team are essential requirements. Job Title: BMS Testing and Validation Engineer Department: R&D Location: Manesar Reports To: R&D Head Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary: We are looking for a BMS Testing and Validation Engineer to develop, execute, and maintain validation strategies for Battery Management Systems (BMS). The ideal candidate will ensure that the BMS meets functional, safety, and performance standards required for lithium battery packs used in Electric Vehicles (EVs), Energy Storage Systems (ESS), and other applications. Key Responsibilities: Design and execute test plans, test cases, and validation protocols for BMS hardware and software. Perform functional, electrical, thermal, and safety testing of BMS under normal and fault conditions. Validate BMS features such as: Cell balancing Over/under voltage and current protection SOC/SOH estimation Thermal management CAN communication Develop and maintain HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) test benches and battery simulators. Analyze test data, generate reports, and troubleshoot failures. Ensure compliance with industry standards (UN38.3, IEC 62133, ISO 26262, etc.). Collaborate with design, firmware, and system engineering teams to resolve issues. Contribute to root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement of BMS designs. Maintain accurate and complete documentation of validation processes and results. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelors/masters degree in electrical , Electronics Engineering . 5+ years of hands-on experience in BMS testing or battery system validation . Strong understanding of Li-ion battery technology , BMS architecture, and control strategies. Proficient in using test tools such as: CAN tools (e.g., Vector CANalyzer/CANoe, Peak) Battery simulators (e.g., NI, dSPACE, AVL) Data acquisition systems , multimeters, oscilloscopes Environmental chambers for thermal testing Familiarity with HIL testing , embedded software debugging, and test automation. Good knowledge of safety standards and compliance frameworks (ISO, IEC, UN). Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and documentation practices. Excellent communication and team collaboration skills. Preferred Skills: Experience with Python or MATLAB for test automation and data analysis.
