We are currently seeking a Lead Engineer - Materials & Corrosion , reporting to join our team based in Chennai. Engineer (Materials & Corrosion): Engineer (Materials & Corrosion) shall assist in execution of materials & corrosion engineering discipline activities and related specifications as required for a Project and perform the following main tasks: Reviews Project's scope of work, material selection and corrosion control basis and related specifications and Raise all relevant issues for clarification/resolution. Execution of material selection and corrosion control design activities, providing technical support to engineering disciplines. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: As an Engineer (Materials & Corrosion), main duties will consist of, but are not limited to; To take the responsibility materials & corrosion engineering activities as assigned by HOD. To review and understand scope of work of Contractor works / vendor's packages/sub-contractor's works and specifications thereof and check materials & corrosion related requirements based on Material Selection Diagram (MSD) and other relevant documents during Enquiry phase and raise all relevant issues for clarifications/resolution, as needed. Reviews metallurgical/corrosion related contents Preparation of Material selection reports, Material selection diagrams, Corrosion Control Management Philosophy, Corrosion Monitoring Philosophy / Specification, Corrosion inhibition Philosophy / Specification, Painting & Coating specifications and Cathodic Protection Philosophy / Specifications required for FEED/Concept Experience in performing Corrosion modelling / simulation software (such as ECE, Predict etc.,) to predict carbon steel corrosion rates and evaluation of Corrosion Resistant Alloy (CRA) material. Provide Interdisciplinary support related to Materials and corrosion control. Skills Required For Engineer (Materials & Corrosion) position, the following minimum qualifications and experiences are required: Bachelor' degree in Metallurgical/ Chemical Engineering/ Mechanical. Master degree in relevant discipline will be preferred Minimum 15 years demonstrated experience in materials & corrosion engineering in oil & gas industries (mainly into Onshore and Offshore projects). Work experience with Engineering consultancy organization and/or EPC Contractor will be an added advantage. Understanding of all Engineering disciplines. Knowledge of Engineering software. Good Technical knowledge. Good command of written and spoken English. Good Communication skills. Good planning & decision making skills. Willing to grow inside organization. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with manufacturer/supplier data. This role requires leading a team of 510 members to deliver end-to-end catalog creation for our client. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of 510 members, ensuring efficient execution of catalog creation tasks. Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to team members to achieve project goals. Monitor team performance and ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards. Catalog Creation: Oversee the end-to-end process of catalog creation for products based on manufacturer and supplier data. Ensure accurate and detailed product information, including specifications, dimensions, materials, and features. Experience in shopify and Magento is required. Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for the program manager, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project requirements. Address client queries and provide regular updates on project progress. Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of catalog creation. Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for the team. Technical Expertise: Leverage experience with backend systems like BigCommerce, or similar platforms to streamline catalog management. Ensure the teams familiarity with technical requirements and compliance with system-specific guidelines. Required Skills and Qualifications Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, MBA, or a related field. Experience: 45 years of experience leading a team of 5–10 members. Extensive knowledge of the dimensions, and product specifications. Proven experience in catalog creation and data management, preferably in the e-commerce or retail industry. Technical Skills: Proficiency in data handling and content management systems (CMS). Leadership Abilities: Strong team management skills, with a focus on collaboration, motivation, and performance improvement. Ability to delegate tasks effectively and ensure accountability. • Analytical and Organizational Skills: Attention to detail and accuracy in managing large volumes of data. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing requirements. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for team coordination and client interaction. Preferred Qualifications • Prior experience working with large catalogs or similar product categories. • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and data integration processes. • Knowledge of furniture industry trends and customer preferences.
